Power Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
1. Banana (1)
2. Handful of Spinach
3. Handful of kale
4. 1-2 green apples
5. 1⁄2 cup of pineapple
6. One whole cucumber
Optional:
Add Oat milk or any plant-based milk of choice.
Not needed, but add a plant-based protein powder if desired
Fun Fact:
Regular consumption of green smoothies forms a good habit of getting a sufficient amount of leafy greens. After a few weeks of drinking green smoothies, it is not unusual to experience an increased craving of dark, leafy greens. Eating enough greens is often a problem with many people, especially children. Green smoothies, as opposed to juices, are a complete food because they still have fiber. Consuming fiber is important for healthy gut bacteria and proper elimination.
