Fig + Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1c coconut milk (See below to learn how I infused my coconut milk)

  • 4-5 Fresh Figs (Mission, Brown Turkey or your fave)

  • 1/2 banana (I used frozen)

  • 1 tsp honey Pinch of cinnamon

  • Handful of ice

Instructions:

  • Toss all of the ingredients into the blender and whip it up.

This recipe is the result of a few happy accidents. Coconut milk was BOGO at the grocery store, I scored some beautiful figs in my Imperfect produce box, and I’d been wanting to try something new with my already-vaped-bud (AVB).

If you’re not familiar, AVB is what is left of your flower once you’ve “smoked” it in your dry-herb vaporizer. There are still a lot of good terpenes as well as THC in those leftovers and there’s no reason it should be going to waste. As for how much THC is leftover, I’ve read varying stats on potency and the truth is that you will never really know for sure. There are too many variables including the temp you vape at and the length of your sessions.

I infused 4grams of AVB (after water curing for 24 hrs) in 16oz of coconut milk by simmering in a double boiler for 20 mins. Coconut milk is great for making edibles because THC loves to bond to the fats in the milk. It’s also super versatile and can be used in both sweet & savory dishes.
