What it is:

Third Position

How you do it:

To find third position, simply start in first position with your heels together and your toes apart. Next, move the heel of one of your feet to the middle of the other, while keeping your legs straight with the feet and legs turned out equally. Finally, relevé to lift the heels and slowly descend down and then up.

Where you feel it:

When performed correctly, you will feel this in your inner thighs. For best results, switch the legs out so that the opposite leg comes forward for the second half of your sets.

How often:

Perform this move weekly to tone and strengthen your inner thighs. We recommend three sets of fifteen on each leg..
