Baddha Konasana ~ Butterfly/Bound Angle Pose
Targeted muscle groups: adductors, groin, quads
Targeted chakras: Muladhara (root) and Svadhisthana (sacral)
Caution: avoid if you have knee or groin injuries
While sitting down, bring the flats of the feet to touch in front of the pelvis. Yoga blocks or books can rest under the knees (as pictured). You can also sit on the edge of a rolled up blanket to give a small anterior tilt (forward tilt) in the pelvis. Keep the back straight or fold over on an exhale while hinging at the hips. Try to maintain stillness in the pose while breathing deeply in and out through the nose.
