SLACK

TIPS & TRICKS

If you haven’t used Slack before, we wanted to share a few tips and tricks to make it easy to communicate with the group.

Download the Slack App here. It’s useful to have it on your phone to be sure you don’t miss any messages. If you’re worried about too many notifications, check the next tip.

You can customize alerts to be notified only when your name is mentioned or when certain channels are updated. Learn more about notifications here.

Slack Channels are a tool used to organize topics. Usually, the #general channel is sufficient for most convos but you may see more specific channels pop-up as we determine how best to utilize Slack for TVF.

/giphy ←- type this in before any word or phrase and get a variety of GIFs presented to communicate your mood. See more about /giphy here.

Custom emoji’s. Another weird little thing that is funny to me. :lolsob  (try it to see what emoji pops up) is one that has really come in handy this year. Learn about adding custom emoji’s here.

Please join us on Slack if you haven’t already!
